Fallen gravestones that were toppled by vandals in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Canton are in the process of being righted.
Workers from local monument company Witherbee & Whalen spent the day at the cemetery Tuesday re-setting and making repairs to more than 50 headstones.
Some of the stones weigh as much as 300 pounds.
While none of the gravestones appeared to be broken, damage estimates are in the thousands of dollars and are expected to be covered by the church's insurance.
Church officials say a special ceremony will be held Saturday morning at the cemetery and the ground will be blessed.
Meanwhile, the search for the vandals is continuing.
